Fire Tech Fire Protection Inc. is a full service fire protection sprinkler company that had been incorporated since 1993 and employs roughly 55 full-time employees. We do $8,000,000.00-$10,000,000.00 of work per year and carry $5M for liability insurance and are able to provide bonding on large and small scale projects.

We have our own in house team of designers and engineers.

Fire Tech is also the only fire protection company in Western Canada that has a computerized fabrication welding machine. What this machine allows us to do is cut costs on both the labour and material side of things, along with proving the precision of cutting and welding that a computer gives.

    William (Bill) Rogers

    Bill began his career as an apprentice sprinkler fitter in 1977 and quickly moved his way up to become one of the youngest Journeyman in 1981 at the age of 21.

     

    Lack of work forced Bill to move to Ontario where he worked for General Sprinklers until 1990 when he moved back to Alberta. Bill continued to work for Alberta Sprinklers until he began Fire Tech Fire Protection in 1993 and began his sprinkler design and estimating career.

    Colt Smethurst

    Colt has been working for Fire Tech since 2005; he began his career in the field and quickly moved up to being a foreman, and then in 2012 became Road Supervisor. His field experience and attention to detail makes him a well-respected supervisor.

     

    Aside from managing day to day operations out on the field, Colt is capable of also handling paperwork and other office related problems.  This allows him to use his field experience to solve problems and carry through to the office. This closes the gap on worksite problems to office solutions making each job run smoother and faster. Outside of work Colt enjoys hunting, camping and spending time with his family.

    Russell Engen

    Russ has been in the sprinkler industry for 26 years, he is able to bring his wealth of knowledge to each job and the company as a whole.

     

     As the out of town supervisor and estimator, his field experience in the field makes him an asset to the company. Russ enjoys hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.

    Michael Schultz

    Michael has worked in the fire protection industry since 2003, and has been a Fire Tech employee for over 8 years.  In 2007 he was awarded the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board Award for Top Apprentice in the Sprinkler Trade.  On top of being a Red Seal Journeyman Michael also holds Management Studies Diploma from Grant MacEwan University.  Over the course of his professional career  Michael has worked on countless projects and has amassed a wealth of knowledge and insight that enable him to  provide real solutions for our customers.
